Very Reverend Aleksandar Todorovski

Archpriest Aleksandar Todorovski was born in Kumanovo on August 31, 1989 in an Orthodox Christian priestly family to Archpriest Ziko Todorovski and Proto-presbytera Sonja Todorovska. Father Aleksandar completed his primary education at “Kocho Racin” Primary School in Kumanovo.

In the academic year 2004/2005, with the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Poloshko-kumanovski Kiril, he enrolled in the Secondary Theological School “St. Kliment Ohridski” in the Drachevo neighbourhood of Skopje. After finishing high school, he continued his education at the Orthodox Theological Faculty “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Skopje, where he graduated in 2014 on the thesis topic: “Parental care through the examples of the New Testament”. Immediately after graduation, he enrolled in master’s studies at the same faculty. During his studies, he was an active cantor in the cathedral church “St. Nikola” in Kumanovo.

On November 24, 2013, he married his chosen one, Proto-presbytera Ivana Petkovska from Kumanovo, and in this marriage, they brought three children into this world: daughter Angelina born on May 10, 2015, son Jovan born on September 7, 2016 and son Naum born on April 9, 2022.

On February 15, 2014, when the church celebrates the feast “Meeting of the Lord”, in the temple “St. Trinity” in Kumanovo, Father Aleksandar was ordained to the rank of deacon by the presiding Metropolitan of Kumanovo-Osogovo, His Eminence Dr. Joseph.

On July 13, 2014 he was honoured to receive a priestly rank from Metropolitan Dr. Joseph in the temple “St. Trinity” in Kumanovo.

From September 1, 2014, he was appointed as a temporary parish priest at “St. Bogorodica” in the village of Pcinja, Kumanovo.

From December 20, 2017, he was served as temporary parish priest at the church “St. Petka” in Bedinje, and he held the position of elder until June 24, 2020.

On December 11, 2022, on the feast of the Holy 15 Tiveriopolis priest-martyrs, in the church of St. Petka in Bedinje, Father Aleksandar was honoured with the rank of Archpriest by His Eminence, Metropolitan Kumanovo-Osogovski Grigori. With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Grigori, and at the request of His Eminence, Metropolitan American-Canadian Metodij and the church administration of the Cathedral “St. Clement of Ohrid” in Toronto, Father Aleksandar moved to the American-Canadian diocese and was appointed parish priest of St. Clement on January 1, 2023.
